Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the Plymouth Rod & Gun Club website and online member portal (the “Site”). By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. What this covers

These terms apply to the website and member portal only. Your rights and obligations as a club member on club property are governed by the Plymouth Rod & Gun Club bylaws, range rules, and safety rules, which take precedence over anything written here where the two overlap.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create a portal account. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Impersonate another member, officer, or staff person of the club.
• Post content to the forum or messages that is unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful, defamatory, or that violates another person’s privacy.
• Attempt to gain access to accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to access; probe or scan the Site for vulnerabilities; or interfere with the normal operation of the Site.
• Use the Site to send unsolicited commercial messages or to advertise businesses or services without written permission from the club.
• Reproduce, copy, resell, or commercially exploit any part of the Site or its content.

Violations may result in suspension of portal access and, in serious cases, referral to the club’s governance process under the bylaws.

4. Dues, fees, and refunds

Annual membership dues, initiation fees, event registration fees, and other assessments are set by the club in accordance with the bylaws. Amounts and due dates displayed in the portal are authoritative at the time of payment.

Payments are processed by Stripe. By submitting payment you authorize Stripe to charge the payment method you provide. If you enroll in auto-pay, you authorize recurring charges for the dues or assessments indicated at the time of enrollment. You may cancel auto-pay at any time from your portal billing page; cancellation does not retroactively refund charges already made.

Refunds. Event registration refunds follow the posted cancellation window for the specific event. Dues are generally non-refundable once paid. In cases of financial hardship, members may apply through the club’s hardship program.

Chargebacks. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting the club to resolve the matter may result in a hold on portal services and suspension of membership pending review.

5. SMS program

Members who opt in to text-message notifications agree to the separate SMS Terms. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying STOP.

6. Forum and member-generated content

Members are solely responsible for content they post. By posting you grant the club a non-exclusive license to display and store that content on the Site. The club may remove content that violates these terms without notice.

7. Intellectual property

The club name, logo, crest, and original site content are property of the Plymouth Rod & Gun Club. You may not use them without written permission. Third-party trademarks on the Site belong to their respective owners.

8. No warranties

The Site is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the club disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Range availability information, weather data, and event schedules shown on the Site are for convenience and are not guaranteed — always confirm at the club before you travel.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the club, its officers, directors, volunteers, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of your use of the Site. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Site will not exceed the amount you paid the club through the Site in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under Massachusetts law, including liability for willful misconduct.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the club and its officers, directors, and volunteers from any claim arising out of your violation of these terms, your misuse of the Site, or content you submit.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of these terms or the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Plymouth County, Massachusetts, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

12. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date and, where appropriate, announced in the portal.
